-Wear your patriotic gear and
comfortable shoes.
-We have a flatbed trailer to ride on if
the pooches (or their humans) get tired.
-We will, also, have a kiddy swimming
pool on the trailer to help keep the
dogs cool. Please try to bring one
gallon jug of water to help fill up the
pool. You don't have to buy it, just
fill up a used milk jug.
-If you don't have a dog to walk,
let Melissa know. There are plenty
of fosters to spread around. |
Highland Village Rotary Club Event - Held April
24, 2010
How many volunteers does it take to do an
adoption? Well, at the Highland Village Rotary
Club Event it took 6 volunteers to hold down the
tent, 2 volunteers to chase down flying signs
and papers, and one volunteer to fill out the
adoption paperwork. Thank you to everyone who
came to help out. We needed every single person
and because of your efforts, we did 4 adoptions,
1 pre-adoption, and an adoption the following
day. Six great dogs found great homes. Way to
go!!! A special thanks to Mon, Susan and Andrew
for the drinks, doughnuts and the super huge
awesome truck that displayed our sign proudly.
And of course, Rob a.k.a. Muffin Man (a.k.a.
Biscuit Boy) for his tireless efforts selling
Mia’s Munchies to raise just over $200!
